In the second full year after assuming an expanded role as the primary charitable giving arm of Office Depot, the independent, non-profit Office Depot Foundation orchestrated a multifaceted communications program in 2009 that was designed not only to engage its existing stakeholders, but also to introduce its mission and priorities to new audiences. Key strategies included a national media relations campaign surrounding the Foundation's signature National Backpack Program, internal communications targeted to Office Depot associates, and ongoing efforts to build awareness of the full range of programs and initiatives that support the Foundation's overall mission: “Listen Learn Care.” |
